Panic has officially set in. Less then a week to go and about a million things to do! The list is endless. As soon as I cross of one thing, something else comes up! On top of that there is the whole backpack dilemma; it's so small! How will I ever fit everything in? When travelling to a foreign country it is very difficult to anticipate exactly what you'll need. Of course being a woman means that I will have to bring all the various accoutrement in order to maintain myself (You might think that this is vain but try having a bad hair day that lasts two and half months!) Not to mention the fact that I'll have to bring about a jillion tampons with me; apparently the Chinese don't menstruate.
Then there's the cats...my poor little darlings! I'll be leaving them again and I'm pretty sure that this time they won't forgive me. Special thanks to Kelsea and my boyfriends for graciously giving up their time and sanity to look after them while we're gone. I'll have to spend a small fourtune in cat food and kitty litter.
I can only hope that by the time the plane takes off from the tarmac everything will have magically fallen in to place and I won't have forgotten a thing....yeah right. I do think, however, that part of the experience of travelling in learning how to cope when strange and unusual situations arise. It's not like home, that's why they call it a foreign country. Hopefully when Kelsea and I are confronted with the "strange and unusual" we will use our common sense and be able to navigate through any situation. Wish us luck!

Hi girls, I am so glad all went well with your flight. Thanks for the call, I wanted to ask more questions but was half asleep! Looks like it is pretty cold there, I guess you will get to use your Olympic mitts! How is your hotel? Did you sleep on the plane? I emailed Ryan and will call Sean today as well. Have fun!
